Pangea : the real organic product

Hundreds of competitors claim to be 100% natural or organic, but only a few, Pangea included, actually are. The company backs its claims by transparency in ingredients use.
Adidas Original fashion brand

The line accounts for 20% of Adidas sales. The items, with an average price of $70, include the classic Stan Smith tennis shoe, fleece hoodies, skimpy tennis dresses and shimmery T-shirts.
Ads for Originals, the company's first mass-market campaign in 60 years, are going worldwide after kicking off in the U.S. for the holidays.
Adidas will tap its roster of celebrity and sports endorsers for Originals. David Beckham, Missy Elliott and Russell Simmons appear in an ad that shows people dancing at a crowded party.
"Teens still want something that is fashionable and deals with innovation," says Simon Atkins, director of U.S. marketing.
To my mind, Adidas Originals are simply the classic Adidas styles with a slight twist here or there, usually. The most glaring thing is that they use the original Adidas logo... Is that a feedback?

On a diet!

The first quarter — when resolutions are still fresh — is when many weight-loss companies launch marketing efforts. Weight Watchers spent more than $50 million January through March 2008 to tout its products and services, according to TNS Media Intelligence.
But even with big spending, it will be "especially tough" to recruit consumers, says John LaRosa, research director at Marketdata Enterprises. "We're in a recession, there are layoffs and people's budgets are tighter than they were last year," he says.

How's that work?
Stage 1) Attach the product directly at the end of your faucet.
Stage 2) Insert a special filter into the product. Every filter is good for approximately 378 liters of water.
Stage 3) Press the button to begin leaking out
Stage 5) If you want a glass of water with flavour, you press on the button of flavour above. The more you rest(support) hardly, the more there will be of flavour!
Possible flavours: strawberry, raspberry and peach(fishing).

Fashion girls

The research, which defines fashion-conscious consumers as those who read fashion-related magazines, examines several of this demographic’s characteristics as they relate to shopping behavior and decision-making, as well as the stores in which they are likely to shop, the products they are apt to buy, and the method of payment they most often use.
* Fashion magazines appeal to all ages and there is near equal distribution among age groups.

Kids would be computer savvy

The Simmons Kids Fall 2007 Full Years Study found that because today's kids have grown up in the age of online communication, networking, the internet, cell phones, digital music and digital cable, they have had different childhood experiences compared with other generations. This makes them more likely to react differently than their older counterparts to advertising and marketing initiatives.
* The majority of kids are computer savvy and spend a significant amount of time online.
* Computer time is enjoyed fairly similarly across age groups and gender.
* Top activities for kids haven't changed much over the years and still include going to the movies, spending time with family, and playing sports.
* Most kids tend to pursue leisure activities that are social in nature, but a significant percentage of girls and the youngest kids still enjoy more alone time doing artistic activities and reading books.
The study also found that while kids may not currently spend much money, they are very likely to influence their parents' purchasing decisions.

Haircut

Its debut came in 1909 when the young hairdresser Antoine de Paris chopped the actress Eve Lavallière's hair to make her appear younger for a role on stage in the French capital. The stylist was then bombarded with requests for the look from women who felt it would liberate them from the tedium of preparing the long, elaborate locks that were then in fashion. And so the bob was born.
Today the trend is real, and some celebrities adopted this harcut : Victoria Beckham, Katie Holmes, Rihanna, Michelle Obama, Gwyneth Paltrow... they really start the new fashion hair, which is now following by a lot of citizens.
So we don't make new fashion, it always a cycle from the past.

Mineral Makeup

Beauty marketers are rushing to mine the trend with more foundation, blush, eye shadow and other cosmetics with natural-sounding "mineral" formulations and ingredients. The products with finely ground minerals are being promoted as sheer, "natural" looking and less irritating to skin than chemical-based products.
The industry has responded with a barrage of mineral-based cosmetic products: 451 in 2007, vs. 132 in 2005 in the U.S. market, according to Datamonitor's Productscan Online.
Ohio university

Here I am : Athens, Ohio, just close to the campus of Ohio University!
For sure, it is totally different from NYC... ! The first time I went to town, I wanted to buy me some clothes (or at least have a look of what I could afford) and I was really surprise that most of stores are especially for student who are studying there... that implies clothes with the logo OHIO UNIVERSITY on it! I had never seen that in my all live, that so crazy for me!
In France we also have t shirt of the colors of our school, but actually you don't buy them; you get them because you 're volonteer in a association or you were participating at a special event.
Here in Athens every student is proud to show in which university he or she is, and wear ohio clothes during normal day.
I find it both funny and also very important for the "campus spirit" : if you like the university where you are studying, you will be proud to show it. And that's also a way to attract new students...

Times Square
And avove all, you have so many shops with so many great brands and so many temptations, that you can do nothing but bying and entering in every shop. Because in each store, you find something funny, or something amazing, something which catch your attention...
Two stores struck me the most : M&M's and Toys R Us...
In the first one, it was like a Disney Store, but you could find things you could'nt ever imagine, like the "biggest wall of chocolate", or a man who regulated the circulation for ... escalator, and this with a megaphone!
In the second one, there was a huge merry-go-round for kids, which let them access to the second floor without taking the escalator. And of course, you can see it from outside, which is a very good way to attract the consumer...
I really enjoyed my day there, but I spent much more money that I had foreseen, even if I don't consider myself as a compulsive consumer!
First time in American Mc Donald's
When I came the first time at Mc Donald's, I ordered a classic "maxi best of" and also a BIG coffee to recover forces after the long trip from France.
The burgers were exactly th same ponds as the french one, what disapointed me a little bit
But actually, when I thought of a big coffee, I thought of the size like the smaller one (left on the picture). So I was really surprised to see that american "large coffee" was so huge, like a glass of soda! after tasting it, I noticed that it wasn't the same : in fact, there is much more water here than in France, where coffee is much stronger and also darker.
Anyway, I enjoyed my drink ; I was really tired and needed it for sure ! :)
